February - News Views UpdateOn January 4th, the Associated Press ran and article under the headline, “Sen. Landrieu defends Medicaid deal for La. – In Senate floor speech, lawmaker hits back at conservative commentators”. According to the article, Senator Landrieu from Louisiana took great umbrage to being called a prostitute by conservative talk show hosts and insisted that a $300 million Medicaid boost for her state wasn’t the price of her vote for President Barack Obama’s health care plan. Hmmmm! Let’s see now. A prostitute sells her body for a price and Senator Landrieu sold her sole for a price. Granted, it was for a good cause, but this has nothing to do with the principle involved. The bottom line is that no government should bribe its lawmakers to get their votes and if it does, legislation so passed is not legitimate or binding. In other words, this incident is just one more example of how corrupt and bankrupt our government has become and the fact that there are so many of us who have no problem with these doings, is clear indication that far too many Americans have no conception of how our government is supposed to function. We truly live in a nation where everything is bought and paid for and this includes truth, honor, integrity, principles, and our elected representatives. ****** On January 8th, McClatchy Newspapers ran and article under a Heading which read, “December jobs data illustrate bumpy economic road ahead”. According to the article, recent employment data indicates a difficult road ahead for the U.S. Economy. Economic growth is evident, but the outlook for jobs remains bleak. I don’t know how many more times I am going to have to say the same thing? The underlying cause of the recession we are in was globalization and the resulting flight of manufacturing firms from our shores. This being case, no amount of stimulus money will rectify our situation. All stimulus spending by our government does is put off the inevitable and unless we do something to rejuvenate our manufacturing base, total economic collapse is inevitable. America as we know it cannot continue to survive when it is dependent upon other nations to sell us everything we need. As our balance of payments increases and our government prints more and more funny money to keep the madness going, eventually, other nations will no longer be willing to accept U.S. dollars for the things they make. When we reach this point the game is over. ****** On January 8th, Reuters ran an article under the headline, “Angry Cuba demands removal from U.S. terrorism list”. According to the article Cuban authorities angrily rejected U.S. claims that it supports terrorist groups and demanded that it be removed from our list of State Sponsors of Terrorism. Cuba, which became a communist nation concurrent with its takeover by Fidel Castro in 1959, was placed on the list in question in by Ronald Reagan in 1982. Upon Barack Obama’s election, Cuban officials hoped that the President of change would take their name off the list for reasons which should be obvious. Cuba has stopped attempting to export its revolution many years ago and has never used terrorism as a tool to do this. Hasn’t the time come to extend an olive branch to our neighbors who lie only 90 miles off our shores? Apparently, Barack Obama doesn’t think so and this is just one more thing which should be changed which the candidate of change will not change. ****** On January 24th, the Daytona Beach News Journal ran and editorial entitled, “High court’s overreach to give corporations the rights of an individual”. According to the editorial, the Supreme Court ruled that corporate spending on political ads, under the law, is the same as the free speech of an individual and being so, cannot be legally limited. The case under consideration asked the court to rule whether or not a documentary critical of Hillary Clinton fit the definition of electioneering under the present law which limited corporate political expenditures. Instead of answering this question the court took it upon itself to consider whether or not any spending limits at all could be placed upon corporations. In order to consider this issue the court broke its own rule against addressing legal issues not brought before it by litigants. There are two problems evident here. First of all, how is it possible to reconcile the American concept of “one man one vote” with the ruling in question when it essentially allows corporate executives to buy votes by throwing money earned from us at the issues and candidates they favor? Secondly, why would a Supreme Court sworn to preserve our Constitution and the individual rights enshrined therein, break precedent and reach out to rule on an issue of this nature which was not brought before it? Haven’t Americans needlessly lost enough rights to the war on terror without our Supreme Court jumping on this bandwagon? Clearly, by so proceeding our Supreme Court has demonstrated that it lies squarely in the pocket of corporate interests at the expense of this nation and its people. This ignoble development demonstrates our Supreme Court, no longer work for us but instead, international global interests. ****** On January 25th, the Associated Press ran an article under the headline, “Stocks advance as Bernanke worries ease”. According to the article, stock indexes reacted favorably to the news that Bernanke’s chances for a second term as Chairman of the Fed increased. Investors reacted positively because with Bernanke in control of the Fed, it will be “steady as she goes” for interest rates. Investors do not want change because they fear more unknowns on top of the present uncertainties about our economy. Oh goody goody! From this assessment we can rest assured that investors as a group are just as stupid as the rest of us. Let’s stay the course on the Fed despite that fact that it oversaw and is responsible for the worst financial disaster to hit this nation since the Great Depression. After all, why risk improving a terrible situation when taking action, theoretically, entails the possibility that the action under consideration may make things worse? The answer to this question is that by taking action things can not get any worse, because short of a total financial collapse, they are as bad as they can get. The logic being used to justify keeping Bernanke as Fed Chairman would make an idiot proud and this it what the American people are expected to swallow as wisdom. The bottom line is that this is just one more example of our government using fear to justify its intransigence, incompetence, and subservience to the Fed. ****** On February 5th, the Associated Press ran an article under the headline, “Tea Party convention begins in Nashville – National gathering is designed to show that the movement is growing up”. According to the article, the Tea Party movement which recently exploded across the nation in revolt against President Obama’s economic policies and health-care agenda reached a milestone as participants met in a first National Tea Party Convention. Well la tee dah! The mainstream media which failed to report anything about Constitutional Convention 2009, has finally printed something about Americans being fed up with their government. But get this! We are not fed up because the Fed is unconstitutional, because Congress sold us out to the New World Order, because Barack Obama is a usurper president who refuses to document his eligibility, because our government no longer abides by our Constitution, because the tax on our income is unconstitutional, because our government is intentionally flooding our nation with an illegal immigrant army, because our government has taken away the rights which God has given us, or because our government is dissolving the nation we know and love into a North American Union. No, according to the mainstream media, Tea Party participants are not concerned with any of these things and are only upset with how Barack Obama is doing his job. If this isn’t a clear indication that the Republicans have hijacked the Tea Party movement, then nothing is. And don’t forget that Sarah Palin was a celebrity speaker at the National Convention. As far as the Republicans subverting this grass roots movement for their own benefit is concerned, this is the biggest nail in the coffin. ****** On February 11th, the New York Times ran an article under the headline, “Climate fight is heating up in deep freeze – Two sides in global warming debate seize on storms to bolster arguments”. According to the article, Skeptics of global warming point to the recent record snows and cold as proof that human driven climate change (global warming) is not happening. On the other hand, proponents point out that current weather patterns confirm global warming which presupposes unusual and dramatic shifts in weather patterns. Unfortunately for the human race, both advocates and opponents of global warming are still missing the point and the media, of course, is doing nothing to clear up these misconceptions. The fundamental issues are not whether or not the world climate is warming or whether or not this warming is due to human activity. Instead, the fundamental problem is the fact that there are more people in the world than can be sustained by our natural environment. The proof of this is clearly evident wherever we look and all the brouhaha over global warming is just a smoke screen to bury the issue of over-population. There is no, none, nada, zilch, zero question that our natural world, in every quarter, is stressed to the max and mankind’s partners (canaries) in life are dying off all around us. Over-population, beyond and doubt or question, is the reason for this and if we do not address this problem immediately, life as we know it on this planet will disappear forever. In light of this reality, anything and everything else is pure un-adulterated bullshit. At this point, readers should know that this writer is not a fan of the Federal Reserve Bank, a.k.a. the New World Order. It is hard to feel warm and cuddly about a group of people who gave us two world wars with a third on the way. However, these crimes pale in comparison to the fact that these megalomaniac Cretans are playing a key role in ensuring that the issue of over-population is not being addressed or even being considered by our so called government. What is murdering 68 million people in comparison to ensuring that all of mankind will suffer a horrible and dismal fate because of the cesspool our world is becoming? Those of the New World Order care less about what they are doing to us. They have become so filthy rich with our stolen money that they think they are immune from the fate which they are helping bring upon planet Earth. January - News Views UpdateOn December 15th, the Rock Creek Free Press ran an article entitled, "Flight 77 Cockpit Door Never Opened During 9/11 Hijack". According to the Article, the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) has reported that the data from a flight recorder from American Airlines Flight 77 which allegedly struck the Pentagon on 9/11, shows that the cockpit door never opened during the entire 90 minute flight. According to the official version of what happened on Flight 77, Muslim terrorists forced their way into the cockpit during the flight, took control of the aircraft, and herded two pilots to the back of the plane. Obviously, in light of the fact that the cockpit door was never opened, this never happened. This being the case, it is reasonable to wonder what other official events concerning 9/11 never happened. Clearly, those out-of-touch nut-jobs who, from the beginning doubted what our government was telling us about 9/11 have been vindicated by this incontrovertible evidence. Needless to say, this is a serious development because it calls into question what our government tells us about everything and leaves us with a government which can no longer be trusted; as if anyone had any doubt about this before. On December 24th, FOXNews.com ran an article entitled, "The Price Is Right? Payoffs for Senators Typical in Health Care Bill". According to the article, Senator Ben Nelson from Nebraska got a juicy concession from our government for his support of the National Health Care Bill; permanent and full federal aid for his state's expanded Medicaid population and he wasn't the only Senator to receive such questionable concessions. My God, is there no limit to the atrocities and abomination being foisted upon the American people in the name of government. Senators and Congressmen are supposed to vote their conscience for the good of the Nation according to merit, not because they receive a bribe for their vote. And who is paying for this bribe which will be a boon to the people of Nebraska. The rest of us that's who! It should be clear that not only is Congress corrupt, it is so corrupt that it has the gall to brazenly parade its corruption before us and then proudly proclaim that this depravity is good for us. In the January 4th, edition of Time Magazine, an article was printed with the headline, "A Vicious Drug War Drags On". According to the article, to date, 14,000 people have been killed in the U.S. supported Mexican war on drugs and no end to the carnage is in sight. In response to this, the U.S. has committed an additional $1.4 billion to Mexico so it can combat this growing menace. However, this amount is minuscule in comparison to the amount being spent for drugs in the United States. We are supposed to be a democracy. If so, why doesn't our government realize that every dollar spent for illegal drugs by citizens is a vote for legalization? Prohibition led to a wholesale breakdown of law an order in this nation and contributed to the establishment of a criminal underworld which still plagues society today. Why hasn't our government learned anything from the lessons of prohibition? The obvious answer to this question is that those who run our war on drugs could care less about us or the carnage being wrought by their ignorance and stupidity. All they care about how much money their drug war puts in their budget. The formula at play here is more drugs = more crime and more crime = bigger budgets. The fallacy behind all this is that bigger budgets do not necessarily reduce the amount of drugs on the street and the beat goes on and on. The bottom line is that the bureaucrats are the only winners in our drug wars because they reap the benefits associated with having bigger budgets. ****** On January 10th, the Associated Press ran an article entitled, "Reid to Obama: Sorry for ‘no Negro dialect' remark. According to the article, Senate Democratic leader Harry Reid apologized for saying, in private, that "Barack Obama should seek - and could win - the White House because Obama was a light skinned African-American with no Negro dialect, unless he wanted to have one." My God, what is the big deal about this privately made off-the-cuff remark. It is not as if Senator Reid said ‘Obama was a light-skinned nigger with a hidden watermelon dialect'. Are words more important than intentions and what are the words are we talking about. Is there something wrong with saying Barack Obama is a light skinned African-American? No! Is there something wrong with referring to a "Negro dialect"? No! Is there something wrong with saying a person tailors his speech to his audience? No! Then what in God's name is wrong with putting all this together, especially in light of the fact that they were said in a private conversation. Nothing, that's what! Both white and black people talk this way all the time. What's the problem? The problem is that, in public, white people are no longer able to speak honestly about black people and some blacks resent it when they do. Then to add insult to injury, the media picks up on this "much ado about nothing" so they have something to write about other than what the criminals we have in government are doing to us. And then to pile stupidity on top of an insult, a group of mentally challenge Republicans jump on this band wagon by claiming Obama was too quick to accept Senator Reid's apology. AAARRRGH! ****** On January 9th, the Associated Press ran an article entitled, Obama presses for cash for jobs - Dismal labor data spur ‘green' plan". According to the article, in response to a new dismal unemployment report, President Obama is pressing to spend more money to create thousands of new clean technology jobs. Unexplained by the President is how putting people to work in this manner will ensure that these jobs generate income so they eventually become self-sustaining? The answer to this question is two fold; he hasn't and they won't. This means the President's decision is just another example of wasteful spending which will only put off the inevitable and make things worse when the inevitable comes to pass. The real problem we face as a nation is that neither the Republicans nor the Democrats are willing to admit that their actions and polices are the prime reason for the fix we are in. The first step to solving a problem is to recognize what caused it and until they are willing to take the blame, no real solution is possible. By hanging tuff and sticking to the failed policies of the past, they are ensuring the total collapse of our economy and the demise of this Nation, which should come as no surprise because this is exactly what our New World Order masters want. ****** On January 10th, the New York Times ran an article entitled, "President explores new approach to objecting to parts of laws". According to the article, instead of issuing signing statements to circumvent signed laws, he will simply disregard laws he considers unconstitutional. I guess this is one of the substantive changes President Obama talked about during his campaign. Instead of telling us in writing how he will violate the law, he will no longer tell us anything and do what he wants. Would someone please tell President Obama that he is not Congress and he is not the Supreme Court and has no authority under the Constitution, to assume the powers of these other branches of our government. If our President thinks a law passed by Congress is unconstitutional, then he should be a good President and take the issue before our Supreme Court for a ruling. What he should not do is act like a spoiled brat and wrongfully claim he can do whatever he wants irrespective of any other consideration. Apparently, President Obama has no conception of the significance of his oath or office, of the duties and responsibilities of his position, or what it means to be the chief law enforcement official of our nation. This article went on to say that the American Bar Association declared that signing statements undermine the rule of law and violate the constitutionally provided separation of powers. On the other hand, "other scholars" said the device was appropriate if a president cited only "mainstream legal theories". Left unexplained is what these other "legal theories" are and how they give a president license to violate our Constitution. The bottom line is that our Constitution provides that Congress and only Congress will make our laws and that our Supreme is the only governmental entity empowered to pass judgment on constitutional matters. This being the case, these "other scholars" are not really scholars. Instead they are political hacks who joined this debate at the behest and to the benefit of the criminals who rule us. The truth is that the constitutional requirements concerning this issue are so clear that there should be no debate about this matter at all. The fact that one is taking place speaks volumes about the kind of people we have in government. ****** On January 13th, the Daytona Beach News Journal, under a large headline on page 2A, ran an Associated Press article entitled, "Vatican faults Avatar for deifying nature". According to the article, the Vatican has criticized James Cameron's 3-D blockbuster because of the movies potential to turn nature in a "new divinity". Why doesn't someone ask the Pope if he thinks that Avatar is a bigger threat to morality than a nation which embraces pre-emptive war, uses lies to justify invading defenseless nations, and tortures people because it thinks this is a legitimate way to further its interests. I do not recall ever hearing anything about the Pope's stand on these issues and this being the case, it is reasonable to assume that such behavior is acceptable in his eyes. In consideration of the fact that the Pope is the moral authority for over 1.1 billion people throughout the world and is supposed to be God's representative here on earth, this reality is truly frightening. ****** On the same day as the previous item, the Daytona Beach News Journal ran an article on page 11A, under a smaller headline which read "White House changes job-counting method". According to the article, the White house has abandoned its previous method of counting the jobs which are generated by the President's economic stimulus package, for a new method which will make it impossible to track the number of jobs saved or created. In other words, according to the Daytona Beach News Journal or more correctly, judging by the treatment given to this article by this newspaper, it is more important for us as a people to know which movies the Pope does or does not like in lieu of the fact that our government has decided to hide how many jobs are being created by the money being spent for this purpose. The Press of this Nation is supposed to be the watchdog of the people and keep us informed so we will not be fooled. From the way the Daytona Beach News Journal handled these two articles, admittedly, they can claim they fulfilled this responsibility to us. However, how an article is presented and where it appears in a newspaper has a lot to do with the importance people place upon the item being reported. This truth is not lost upon mainstream media professionals and as far as being a responsible media outlet is concerned, the News Journal gets an "F".
